Tim has deep roots in the Valley of the Sun, coming here in 1952 with his family and attending Washington High School. He attended Arizona State University and graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
His professional career began with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company specializing in the personal insurance market. In 1972, he joined Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company as a co-manager and focused on the training of agents in the business and estate planning markets. In 1976, he began his own company, now known as Nirvana Financial Services. Nirvana works with locally owned companies and their owners to solve the myriad of financial challenges that they face running their businesses and their personal lives.

He continually updates his education with courses in profit-sharing, pension planning, and financial and estate planning to stay current with the ever-changing financial and legal environment.
Tim also performs personal coaching and holds company seminars. Out of this work grew invitations to speak at local companies, trade associations, and national venues. He provides his audience with workable solutions to the challenges they face and tailors his presentations to the specific goals of each audience. He has been presenting his “Shark Theory: Avoiding the Seduction of Success” discussing the vehicle that moves you to a whole new level of personal and financial success. He has authored several articles for the Arizona Republic, numerous industry publications and has also been a guest lecturer at ASU.
His community activities, past and present, include Board membership with United Cerebral Palsy, the President’s Club at Arizona State University, and Junior Achievement.
He enjoys boating in San Diego and flying radio-controlled airplanes. Travel is a big part of Tim’s life as he and his wife, Robin, enjoy learning about and experiencing other cultures first hand.
